I have known Alex for over 3 years. He is an amazing person and cycle coach. Three years ago he accompanied me to buy my first bike and took me on my first few rides. I have ridden over 13000 miles since, and I am four bikes into my cycling life. I am loving every minute of it thank to Alex.

Alex Has been an amazing Coach, Friend and more importantly someone who really listens and understand the struggles of people who want to enjoy the sport. Whether if you are Pro, Semi or someone who loves the sport and wants to stay in shape Alex gives you the same treatment across all disciplines. Imagine that, getting tips and training as if you were a Pro! that was amazing to me.
That's what makes him an amazing coach. Coaching is an art, I don't care what anyone says...Patience, Time and more often than not a personnel expense. "Alex, I need to talk to you on how best to prepare for my upcoming race" without hesitation Alex would even go as far as spending time on a whiteboard and talk about strats.
I have had other coaches in the past and the biggest problem I had was the rinse repeat with almost little to no interaction. That always bothered me. Alex on the other hand pays attention to even the small details. In one of my races he could actual tell the consistency of my sprints off of every turn......that for me is a true coach.
I use to suffer when I rode for long hours.....Alex looks at me while ridding and says "Omar, your seat and posture look off"... A proper Fitting from Alex and immediately my power and handling skills increased substantially. These are the things that separate Alex from your Avg coach. He cares how you feel when you ride regardless of your goal.
I got into racing after being out of the sport for many years. Hours of training and grueling races are enough to discourage anyone but Alex was always there when it mattered the most with mental and emotional support.
Thank you AL! you are truly on a league of your own

Extremely Happy with Alex! You get many levels of coaching in a constant evolution using the most cutting edge training tools and techniques. His training camps are top notch at all different levels.. No cut and paste with this guy: each athlete gets a custom individual training plan regardless at what level he or she is. He works on ALL aspects of cycling, including Power, Endurance, Efficiency, Comfort, Proper bike Fit, Bike Handling, Race Strategy, Race etiquette ... just to name a few. And the list goes on! He has an extremely one of a kind coaching style. And with Alex you get direct connections to professional cycling coaching techniques.. He also consults with pro team coaches and with professional world level pro cyclists in Italy, which trickles down to us. Many other coaches just basically work on Power; with Alex it’s a complete package! Before hiring Alex as a coach I was lost in the "overtraining world” I had totally burned my self out getting slower and slower…. Alex broke it down and we started from scratch: I started training less but more efficiently and while getting way faster and having so much more fun! I became extremely consistent in each race knowing exactly what I had to work and with tremendous improvement in my cycling and racing results over the years .... Including a NYS Championship in 2013 ……Thank you -AL! Absolutely the best coach we have here in the US!

Alex helped me fix the flaws I'd developed over the years which kept me from enjoying myself fully. While I'm more recreational than competitive if I ever decided to race (like my 60 year old brother who still does) Alex is the first stop in my training.

I have tried a few different coaches in NYC, and Ale provided the most personalized experience - hands down. Ale's passion for cycling transfers not only to the training program he customized for me, but to his athletes. Ale's attention to detail was impeccable. I never felt under prepared for a race. It was impressive. His training program leading up to a race or event would capture the efforts I would need to be successful. His workouts were so well thought out. His training programs not only were designed for the events I was participating, but also in order to develop me into a better overall cyclist. The investment Alessandro makes in every one of his clients was motivating. His pride and confidence in everyone he trains created a community rather than individual athletes.

“Alessandro has a clear passion for life and cycling. It was a chance encounter at NYC Bike Expo that I met Alessandro. He was especially interested in learning about overcoming disability and getting onto a bicycle…and my interest in racing. Alessandro was there for my first ever race! Alessandro helped to guide me throughout the entire process, made me feel comfortable, and a better cyclist. I consider it an honor to not only have been on the benefitting side of his training, comments, suggestions, but I also consider it an honor to call Alessandro my friend. His passions for life and cycling are readily displayed to all and unlike others with his athletic talent, Alessandro is able to carefully and constructively coach and guide athletes to continual improvement…whether just being on a bike is a victory or competing at Nationals or Worlds, Alessandro is always present with a smile and drive for improvement.”

I am delighted to write this testimonial for Alessandro, my coach and good friend. I have known and have been working with Ale for almost eight years and while I worked with several coaches before I met him by far Ale has been the most effective. Over the years I have come to know him both personally and professionally so I am in a good position to talk about both his personality and coaching techniques and skills.
It became clear to me early on that Ale was not like other coaches. Ale did not just prescribe cookie-cutter workouts, he got to know me personally, and therefore was able to craft my training program to my needs and limitations. The more I worked with him the more I was convinced of his exceptional talent. When I say talent, I am not just referring to the coaching and workouts, I am also referring to what he taught me about training, racing smart, and he has also given me the best bike fittings ever, constantly helping me make the smallest of adjustments based on how my body has changed from season to season.
Another outstanding characteristic has to do with Ale’s attentiveness to his client’s mental states. I have been particularly impressed with his unusual ability to conceptual what is happening either in training or various racing scenarios. Ale is sensitive to the social determinates of subjective experience; if I ever would become discouraged because of an injury or a disappointment in a race, through empathic understanding Ale was able to put me at ease before this mindset became disruptive. His work has been both creative and effective!
Last, but not least, Ale is also an easygoing, sociable fellow with a really big heart. He cares for people in a deep and gentle way that is endearing to me and to others who know him. He has an excellent reputation around the racing community and I often hear how he is greatly appreciated and admired.
I think he is exactly the kind of person you would want for your training and racing program, it is my pleasure to recommend Ale to you with the greatest of enthusiasm!

Alex really takes the time to get to know you, it's not a one-size-fits all approach. He also teaches you a lot during the fitting about how to be more comfortable, how to be faster, or whatever you goals may be.

I recently decided to get back into bicycling so I went into the shed dusted off my old steed and proceeded to start riding again. Out on a harder ride with a friend of mine I either overstretched or pulled a leg muscle, anyway I did something to one of the muscles. I rested it for a few weeks and started riding again. I noticed that the more I rode the worse it got. After a few weeks of putting up with this i called a good friend of mine (a Cat 3 rider) and talked to him about what might be going on and he put me in touch with his coach Alessandro.
I sent Alessandro a video of myself and after viewing my video Alessandro informed me that my bike was not even close to being the right size and it would not be advised to even try and make it fit. I decided to make an investment and I had that same friend of mine build me a new bike to Alessandro's specifications.
I am from out of state and drove 600 miles to be fitted by Alessandro. I will tell you that is not just a measurement of putting this here and that there. Instead it was a pedal altering experience. Alessandro takes the time to make sure everything feels comfortable, but also explains why it is important and how each aspect of the cycling position works with another.
I can know say that after a month of being properly fused to my bicycle that I'm riding twice as far with no pain. Every time I go out for a ride I try to apply what I have learned not just from a fitting but more of a cycle altering experience.
Thank you Alessandro

Hi Alessandro,
You've accomplished an amazing thing, teaching me to ride with the clipless pedals. Thanks for your patience in fitting me for cycling shoes. My feet are usually so difficult to fit but you made good on your promise to find me a comfortable custom fit. The adjustments you made on my hybrid made my knee pain disappear. Thanks for helping me select a new road bike. Your perseverance and patience in providing me with a comfortable bike fit will make my cycling adventures more enjoyable.
Your coaching inspires confidence and enabled me to learn new motor skills. The sense of accomplishment I've experienced through your coaching makes me feel the sky is the limit. I look forward to working with you in the Spring to improve my road skills.
You are the best!!!

After 12 years of road cycling I finally feel like I understand what it's like to be fit to my bike. I'm more comfortable, faster, fitter, and healthier. Alex took a lot of time not just to fit me but to explain the principles and show me what it should feel like. I'm able to get on any bike now and get pretty close. He made the whole process interesting and fun.

I picked up Alex's card from a local bike shop, after a short conversation on the phone we set up a meeting where he questioned my goals and abilities. I proceeded to have him fit me on my bike and then went on some training rides, I must say that in the short time being trained by him I picked up many important tips on fitness and riding in general. I still use these tips on all my rides. He really focuses on the whole riding experience even the culture and beauty of the sport.
I would highly recommend a fitting and training from him. (He knows his stuff).

Alex spent literally hours with me honing in on every aspect of my riding position. We started with the insoles of my shoes, then moved on to the position of my cleats, then saddle height, my proximity to the the handlebars and the geometry of the stem. All this was done with the singular goal of increasing pedaling power and stamina. He has been in touch with me since my fitting and continues to critique my form to help me improve.
